Update of L'Arche in Haiti

I am certain that by now you have heard about the catastrophic earthquake that hit Port-au-Prince yesterday, Tuesday, at 5:00 p.m. In the hour that followed we tried to contact the two communities through our many contacts, but were unsuccessful, since all lines of communication are down. At this point we still have not been able to get any news from the Chantal community. However, I have just received news from Port au Prince: some friends of the community have confirmed that everyone is OK, safe and sound! We will be trying throughout the day to find out more from two religious communities near L'Arche. As soon as we have any news, we will pass it on to you.
Let us pray for the people of Haiti.
